Dance Yoga


Dance Yoga is a blissfull experience of being in Unison with
God (Cosmic Truth). Entire cosmos has a sense of rhythmic motion.
This cosmic dance extends from the interior of a tiny atom to
the vast expanse of a gigantic galaxy. Our Rishis, Saints and
Sufis have realised the ecstacy of Satchidananda by dancing
with love and compassion at heart. Every human being has an
inherent sense of dance which need not remain confined to stage
performance by professional dancers.Dance is a natural expression
of joy and happiness.It brings harmony in our body, mind and
heart. Dance Yoga is constituted of :

a) Streamlined Body Movement
b) Dance Aerobic
c) Mudra Dhyan

Streamlined Body Movements are an integral part of all living creatures. Birds fly, fish swim, deer leap, horses race in streamlined motion. Even the gait of huge elephant is used as simile of Gaja Gamini. It is only man who ruins his system by cumbersome movements and postures. Coordination of simple steps with flowing arm movements releases tension from joints and spine. The body becomes flexible and youthful. These movements also provide a warm up for subsequent Dance Aerobics.

Dance Aerobic mobilizes the body fat. There is a progressive improvement in cellular perfusion and oxygenation. Dance aerobic makes our body fit and trim physically, rejuvenates the mind and relaxes the heart when performed as an invocation of Divine Consciousness, it gives us a feel of expansion and we can experience the energy fields beyond our body

Mudra Dhyan is practiced through special hand gestures. Our hands represent the entire cosmos. The five fingers represent the five elements of nature i.e. earth, water, fire, air and sky. These five unix of cosmos constitute the macrocosm and microcosm within the human body. Mudras stabilize our emotions intellect and cellular biochemistry by controlling the subtle energies of these five elements.

GYANA MUDRA: Tip of the thumb is lightly pressed against the tip of the
index finger. It is symbolic of the union of man & God. There is an improvement
of concentration, intellect and memory. One feels free of depression and anxiety.

PRANA MUDRA: Tip of the thumb is lightly pressed against the tip of ring
finger and little finger. It improves the vital energy of the body. One feels
more alert and confident. It is also beneficial for visual acuity.

APANA
VAYU MUDRA: Curling in the forefinger, union of middle finger, ring
finger & thumb produce this mudra. It is related to your heart. It is
especially helpful in hypertension, angina and palpitation. It also
produces general relaxation and relieves acidity & headache.

'Yoga' means to be one with the Divine Cosmic Force . We experience complete peace and bliss within our heart. Dance Yoga takes us to this state of tranquility through flowing dance movements. It improves our aura and strengthens our Prana(Life Force) .It also makes our body flexible and brings a positive change in our personality, confidence and attitude. If there is any hidden illness Dace yoga improves our ability to fight it out. Flowing Dance movements are in Kathak Style..They have been modified in a way that every one can learn it easily. Dance Yoga is practiced with specially designed balletic musical compositions . Pranayam(breath control), music associated yogic exercises, yoga nidra and meditation with Mantra chanting make the course complete in all aspects.
