The composition is a contemporary interpretation of the Vision
and Philosophy of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu whose "Samkeertan"
brought bliss and joy for all living creatures. The Presentation
in Kathak Style highlights the phases of his life symbolically.
Born to mother Shachi Devi, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was known
as Nimai during his childhood. He grew up as a brilliant Scholar
and an Authority on Vedic Knowledge.

Suddenly a peculiar change came in his personality. In a state
of trance, he started singing & dancing to the glory of Krishna.
His initial consorts were his students who were both amazed
and amused at this metamorphosis of their Teacher.

His Guru warned him against this attitude because it was considered
a gimmick of foolish devotees. Nimai Pandit tried but failed
to control his emotional outbursts because he felt an imposing
presence of Lord Krishna around him. The illusion was so real
that he could not control his rapture.
So much bliss effused from his Samkeertan that people from
far off places started following him. Inspite of Muslim reign
at that time, the response to his Samkeertan was overwhelming
& universal.
Highly inspired by Poet Jaidev, he enchanted his devotees
with Dance Dramas related to Shri Radha Krishna theme.

Initially, he enacted the playful & passionate Radha. Sometimes
in Bhagavad Avesh, he reaveled his true self as incarnation
of "Krishna” himself. He was called Gaurang during this phase
due to his extremely fair complexion.

Slowly, he withdrew himself in the phase of "Radha-Viraha"
and went searching for Lord Krishna from place to place.

He roamed in forests as a "Sanyasi" singing Hare Krishna Mahamantra
to birds, animals, trees & flowers. He stayed at Vrindavan
for some time & ultimately came to Jagannath Puri.

One night he jumped into the sea mistaking it as waves of
Yamuna promising to take him to his beloved Krishna. He was
rescued but then disappeared into Shri Vigrah of Shri Jagannath
- his own abode. His love for all stays on in the resonance
of his Sankeertan.
